The schools in Fannin County, Georgia pride themselves on being highly involved in their student’s lives and really work together with parents and resources from the community to provide a well-rounded, all encompassing education for the students in the public school system. There are three elementary schools which serve the kindergarten through fifth grade population, one middle school which serves grades six through eight, and also just one high school, serving grades nine through twelve. The teachers in each of the five Fannin County schools are excellent, and test scores for all schools are above average for most grades. All of the schools are lead by exceptional administrators and a helpful support staff. Each year, in every school, parents are encouraged to be highly involved in their students’ school life, and a parent involvement plan is utilized.

The schools in the county strive to prepare students for everyday life, as well as making sure they meet all the necessary academic milestones. In fact, Fannin County High School’s career tech helps students prepare with vocational training or continuing education in a vocational program. Leaders from the community and outside resources are utilized to help students get a feel for what the job field is like, and what skills they will need.
