Take a step back in history and enjoy a movie at one of four drive-in theatres still working in Georgia. The Swan Drive-In is off Old Highway 76 in Blue Ridge and is always a family favorite.
If you enjoy festivals and themed events then Blue Ridge is the place to visit! The Blue Ridge Mountain region of Georgia is known for its many festivals of all types. The Butternut Creek Festival in Blairsville features fine artists and crafters from the North Georgia Mountain area and is a fun festival in July. Christmas in July in Blue Ridge even features a Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and a special Christmas parade. The Hiawassee Festival of the Arts takes place in August and features over 90 artists. In September, the Wildlife Art Festival is also a must-see, with wildlife artists coming to the area from all over to exhibit their works.

Butternut Creek Festival, Meeks Park, Blairsville The 8th Annual Butternut Creek Festival at Meeks Park is a juried show of 60-65 of the finest artists and crafters in the North Georgia Mountain area, held in the month of July. Live musical groups both days, with selected food booths. Hours are 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days. For more information contact 706-835-1948.
Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Christmas in July, Downtown Blue Ridge Ride and visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus who will be vacationing in Blue Ridge. A summer tradition that will excite the child in all of us. Reservations suggested. Call for more information 800-934-1898.
Georgia Mountain Fair, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee This annual award winning fair features arts and crafts, regional food, Pioneer Village with living exhibits, country, bluegrass and gospel music by nationally known performers. Hiawassee Festival of the Arts, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee The 4th Annual Juried Fine Arts Show is sponsored by the Mountain Arts Association. Pickin' in the Park Casual jam sessions for acoustic musicians are held under the trees and pavilions along the Toccoa River at Ron Henry Horseshoe Bend Park every Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until dusk, beginning the week of Memorial Day through the end of September.
Morganton Music Park Live country and bluegrass music and dancing Friday and Saturday nights 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Morganton.

Southern Tree Plantation, 4.7 miles south of Blairsville Southern Tree Plantation is a working farm with fun activities for large or small gatherings, including weekend dinners with live music, hayrides, pumpkin picking and a petting zoo in the fall. Wildlife Art Festival, Blue Ridge City Park This annual festival is held during September, and showcases the works of the finest wildlife artists in the Southeast. More than 75 artists displaying original works including sculpture, painting and woodworking. Hours are from 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM.
